2013 Cauli-cott Medal Winner

The American Library Association's (ALA's) Association for Library Service to Children (ALSC) awards the Caldecott Medal "to the artist of the most distinguished American picture book for children."  We think this is a terrific award, and we wondered in my Library could give something similar to a local illustrator/author.  So we created the (drum roll, if you please) . . .

We'd like to give this prestigious award to a local children's author/illustrator for the best illustrated children's book from Morgan County this year.  We have a winner!

(MPL Call No. EASY 599.773 TER)

Local artist/author Jeff Terry has published three children's picture books this year that capture the hearts and minds of young readers while stimulating their curiosity, enhancing their knowledge, and improving their literacy skills.  Mr. Terry is the winner of our first annual Cauli-cott Medal for Best Children's Illustrated Work by a Morgan County, Indiana Author/Artist.

All three books are available to check-out in our Evergreen Indiana online catalog.  Just click the hyperlinked call numbers beneath each photo (above), and then use your E.I. library card to place holds on these items.
