Crafty Gal's New Video Series

Crafty Gal has a new early literacy video series, Nursery Rhyme Time. Parents and caregivers may follow along with the videos, reciting these Mother Goose (and other popular) nursery rhymes with their preschoolers.

See Our Bookworm Float!

The MPL bookworm float made the "hit parade" last Sunday during the annual Old Settlers parade through downtown Mooresville on its way to Pioneer Park (and the Old Settlers festival itself).  Boss Lady and Officemeister led the way with the MPL banner.  Click the images to enlarge.

Since the bookworm was facing left (and our photographer was on the right-paw side of the street), you can't see the bookworm's face very well. Fortunately, we have other photos from a previous blog post.

Great job, Decorinator and her float team!

Broadway Gal's Caldecott Dress on Display

Broadway Gal's travelling Caldecott button dress moved front and center from the Library's Youth Services Department to the Grand Hall. Caldecott Medal award-winning books are on display, too. Naturally, we have photos, which you should click to enlarge.  This time, we took pictures of both sides of the dress.

The dress still looks better on Broadway Gal.  Just saying.
